We help individuals and groups find their passion and place to serve in the city. This service might take place at the Ministry Center or in the community. We are able to mobilize 1 or 400+ volunteers to accomplish the work that God has called us to do. Individuals can volunteer weekly, or for a special event, or when needed to use their specialized trade or craft. We often have large groups from churches, businesses, and universities who are looking for a way to serve together. Youth groups and ministry teams travel from all over the country to serve with us and most come back year after year.

Several ministries currently work within our facilities: Choice Books, COH Dream Center, Bundles of Hope diaper bank, and Med Missions. The Ministry Center provides the ideal work area for these ministries to accomplish their goals.

We also partner with local recovery ministries to provide a safe work environment for their participants to volunteer, improve work skills, and develop good work habits. Our staff and key volunteers come alongside of these participants to encourage them spiritually and build lasting relationships as they work through their respective program. We love it when graduates come back to volunteer with us or check-in to let us know how they are doing.

With 80,000 square feet of warehouse space, we typically have more than 1,000 pallets of resources in our Ministry Center at any given time. These resources are used to benefit our ministry partners and serve the community. We are uniquely able to receive, store, and distribute the quantity and variety of goods needed to impact multiple facets in the communities we serve.

During the 2011 tornadoes we were able to mobilize thousands of volunteers and materials to help the communities affected by the storms. Our large warehouse space, procurement abilities, and logistical experience made us the ideal hub for being able to start the disaster relief process immediately and we became the command station for the faith-based community to mobilize volunteers and resources.

CSM’s Ministry Center is where we operate our Food, Housing, and Outreach ministries. We are blessed with a 3.85-acre campus near the center on the city that includes an 80,000 square foot warehouse, a loading dock, a construction workshop, an event room, coolers, a freezer, urban gardens, aquaponic greenhouses, and space for a fleet of vehicles and equipment. The ministry center enables us to receive, store, and distribute large quantities of food and other items and provides the space needed to mobilize large numbers of volunteers who are at the core of everything we do.
