Serving through Disaster Relief Buckets!

Making disaster relief buckets is an easy way to support Christian Service Mission’s ministry. We store the buckets on pallets, pull them down from storage, and send them to disaster sites when needed. The church collects donations and supplies to go in the buckets.

Homewood Community Church came out recently to make disaster relief buckets. Homewood Community purchased buckets from Lowe’s. However, some churches that make buckets for us partner with community businesses (like froyo shops or bakeries) to repurpose buckets that are typically tossed. Some churches bring their buckets to us when they finish making them, but Homewood Community brought the supplies to CSM and spent a Saturday morning filling them.

The volunteer event was a fun way for families to serve together as everyone was involved in putting items in, and kids made cards for those who would receive the buckets. Each bucket included gloves, sponges, scrub brushes, masks, Clorox, bathroom cleaners, dish soap, dish towels, and a handwritten card. Let us know if your church would enjoy partnering with us in this way. It’s a small but mighty way to make an impact when needed!
